In today's globalized world mono-cultural societies have been gradually disappearing. A trend towards the creation of multicultural societies began in 1960s. This is the era of globalization, every individual is keen to achieve every possibilities coming in their way, but in earlier time it was quite impossible to expand your resources, there were only a limited amount of resources. People were bound to sustain their livelihood in their native country, there were limited number of opportunities, this ensured the existence of the monoculture societies but as the import and export of goods started, everything began to change. Many people moved to other countries in search of better opportunities and the multicultural societies came into existence, as people carried their cultures. Soon after the globalization began, the societies became more diverse in nature.

Migration, the impact of globalization and modern technology played decisive role for the creation of multicultural societies. For instance, new multicultural societies were forced by the virtue of new conditions to engage themselves with others. The migration lead to many changes, at first people were not aware about the other cultures, but as the time passed by, things began to evolve and people started accepting other cultures after some years these changes began to were visible. The intermixing of various cultures began perpetuating the idea of multicultural societies and every individual adapted himself as per the require conditions. Therefore, people were purposefully trained for quality communication and peaceful coexistence with societies that possessed different cultural traits.

Existing racial, ethnic, linguistic, cultural variety, in different countries, educational systems, committed them to respond decently to plurality & diversity of their communities, and they are considered to be decently in educational curriculum. Multicultural education is an approach that is adopted in response to cultural diversity in a society and its educational system. This will be a golden opportunity for the students, who want to study their desired subject, as the under developed countries as well as the developing countries provide less options, whereas the developed nations provide more options and an individual can study whatever they want to. For this purpose, the number of international institutions has adopted documents, which became the backbone of new education policy. Nowadays, several colleges offer many facilities to the international students, they provide hostel facilities, loans are also provided to the students, so that they can afford their educational expenses and other facilities are provided. Therefore, the school systems began to work intensively on the promotion of intercultural values among young people. Schools had to curb all forms of intolerance, discrimination, segregation, xenophobia and racism. Many policies have been changed to adapt the current situation of the international students because sometimes the students face bullying and discrimination, which is strictly prohibited in the school premises. They have made zero tolerance policy, that will include guidelines issued in favor of the students from other nations, so that they can feel free to get education without having any difficulty. Yet nowadays many multicultural nations encounter with difficulties in holding together multicultural diversity and in establishing harmonious interpersonal relationships. In colleges and universities missing the presence of a pluralistic environment, students are denied the opportunities provided by a natural laboratory for interacting with culturally diverse groups. In the monoculture societies students are not allowed to follow their culture and ethnicity, there are certain rules and regulations, which are reinforced to maintain a peaceful environment. But the reality is somewhat different, the strict rules, results in an environment, which is biased in nature. They are not introduced with the students of other culture., it creates a tense environment between the majorities and minorities.

More and more liberal recognizes the need to find ways of functioning within a multicultural society. As the idea of multicultural societies were introduced, people started to accept the diversity. They began to function in an assorted environment, full of opportunities and growth prospects. The variance provided new doorways to progression and in the light of finding the perpetual growth, people began to adjust themselves, by inventing and following certain practices. The monocultural societies lack freedom of ideas, the society is stringent.

There is a considerable evidence for the existence of multicultural processes and structures within particularly heterogeneous societies. Immigration has given birth to diversity. For example; the immigrants bring their culture and beliefs and many a times it has proved to be an asset for the society because in certain cultures people might not be aware about certain procedures or methods of cultivating rice and the other person can teach them about the effective methods of cultivating rice. The opposite of this statement can also be found true, the monocultural processes and structures within particularly homogenous societies. These societies have limited resources and these societies are deprived of new and developed methods and techniques.

The progressive shattering of those boundaries, of those symbolic barriers from which, however, local cultures had previously received some form of protection, re-introduces the theme of the encounter/clash between different cultural identities, different universalisms characterized by different value systems and different processes of individual identity building. The diverse societies might cause clashes between certain groups of the societies, having different cultures. Many of the times conflicts arise due to some disagreements, and these minor disputes might result in a complex contradictory situation. But the monocultural societies, are peaceful in nature as compared to the multicultural societies because the living style is almost same.

Under the principle, different indigenous psychologists in the same society may be encouraged to apply different, conceptually equivalent to the cultural psychologies being developed or to be developed with the monocultural indigenous approach within societies. A society, consisting of diverse cultures might have different approach towards life, people have different ideologies. For example; eating pig is considered as a sin in in the Muslim community, but Christians consume pork on a regular basis. Things might be different from various facets, and people have different psychologies towards different things.

Most of the citizens of a nation have a common belief framework, based on the country's heritage. These ideas form the national identification, and also 'psyche,' which develop to many a more powerful adhered culture, but to critics a nation which loses out on the perks of a multi-cultural indigenous culture.A multicultural approach allows for diverse voices, particularly those formerly silenced, to be heard in the reflecting mirrors of history. It means not a denigration of our history, but an opening up to include knowledge essential to developing critical reflection about our society. There are many instances when minorities are subjected to discrimination by the majorities, they are forced to follow certain rules and regulations, they experience discrimination throughout their lifetime, they are the victims. They experience injustice, all these happens in the multicultural societies, the victims are the immigrants, the disparity among the two communities lead to harsh conditions. For example; the Africans are subjected to discrimination, they are regarded as inferior. Many crimes happen against them. All these instances occur because of the differences.

In the last two decades political reality has undergone such rapid changes that it is hard to remember, that not long ago, Fukuyama announced that we have reached the end of history. Liberal democracy has been declared the winning party. It has managed to drive all its rivals off stage, all future debates will be no more than variations on theme – a liberal theme. People are looking forward to accept the diverse cultures, this is the era of globalization. People are adapting themselves, with respect to the new changes and modifications happening in our society, they want to learn new methods and techniques of living a sustainable life, people are dedicated towards achieving their set goals and destinations in life, they want to live in a peaceful society, having variations. The monoculture has been swept away, this is the age of acceptance, development and modifications.

In the ancient times, the monocultural societies were considered as peaceful societies, but the world is changing rapidly. Things are different now, the introduction of the globalization and industrialization has led to the emergence of the multicultural societies. People are adapting themselves, because this is the need of the hour, things can get better with maintaining peace and harmony, which might not be possible in the case of the monocultural society, people are oppressed and tortured, which is not good for a country aiming to achieve growth, at a required pace.
